two.1.4) Short description

The suite will consist of devices that utilise a variety of technologies to allow the greatest number of 'target materials' to be detected and identified. The use of a suite of technologies will allow potential complementary identification of the target materials and reduce gaps in capability.

Therefore, procurement will be split into discrete 'lots', based on the likely individual technologies, along with one additional 'lot' for any other technologies. Devices that use more than one technology type may be entered in either (or both) lots that apply. The full list of planned lots as currently envisaged follows although this may change by the time the tender is published.
