two.1.4) Short description

Bolton Council through the Independent Living Service and the Integrated Community Equipment Store, have the duty to provide modifications (adaptations) costing less than £1,000 that enable people with disabilities to live independently at home.

The Independent Living Service requires a provider to fit and install a range of modifications both inside and outside the home as identified trusted assessors to meet individual’s needs.

Modifications include (but are not limited to):

• Stair Rails

• Standard Grab Rails/Newel Rails

• Drop-down Rails / Wall to Floor

• Drop-down Shower Seats

• Floor Fixed Toilet Frames

• Floor to Ceiling Poles

• Wall Mounted Bath Boards

• Half Steps & Grab Rails

• Threshers

• Lever Taps

• Electrical Sockets

• Keysafes

• Sensory equipment e.g., loop systems

• Door release and automatic door entry systems.

The framework will be for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for a further one (1) year.
