NPL is looking to procure a confocal laser scanning fluorescence microscope with the following minimum features:
• Fully motorised, computer controlled inverted microscope system, including sample mounting stage, focus, objective lens turret, etc. Control software for multi-dimensional image acquisition
• A range of different objective lenses (from low magnification / low NA air objectives to high magnification / high NA oil immersion objectives)
• Multiple excitation laser lines, including 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm and 638 nm or similar
• Multiple parallel detectors (at least four)
• Incubation system for maintaining sample temperature and environmental CO2 concentration
• Focus stabilisation system for long duration time lapse imaging
• Capacity for label free imaging (DIC or similar).
