Buckinghamshire Council invites Tenders for the Provision of Arboricultural Services. The Contract covers a range of tree works operations, from tree planting and aftercare, to more specialist tree surgery operations that require specialist equipment and training.

The Council intends to let Framework Agreement(s) in 2 Lots.

Potential suppliers may submit a tender for Lot 1 and/or Lot 2

This Lot covers a range of tree works operations from hedge cutting, to more specialist tree surgery operations that require specialist equipment and training. The work includes, but is not limited to;

• Formative pruning.

• Dead wood management.

• Crown lifting.

• Crown thinning.

• Crown reduction and reshaping.

• Structural pruning to develop natural crowns

• Pollarding/ re-pollarding

• Epicormic and basal growth removal.

• Pleaching

• Tree felling/dismantling

• Stump treatment or removal.

• Hedge management.

• Maintenance of trees on or adjacent to a Highway including traffic management.

• Specialist veteran tree management, such as fracture pruning and/or veteranisation

• Cable bracing and propping.

• Soil amelioration.

• Root pruning

This Lot covers all aspects of tree planting and establishment.

Maintenance of trees shall include weeding, report the presence of tree pest insects and/or diseases, pruning adjustments, soil level checks, and the removal of arisings resulting from the maintenance work, watering, dead wood removal and other operations necessary for the survival and successful establishment of the newly planted trees and whips.

This lot does not include for the provision of the trees
