NRW is seeking to award a contract for the supply of 2 x All Terrain Very Low Ground Pressure Multi-Purpose Tracked Vehicles. These will be used to transport staff, contractors, equipment, and consumable materials around primarily large and relatively inaccessible wetland sites. In addition, the machine will have the facility to power front mounted implements. The machine will facilitate management on designated sites, with a particular focus on the Corsydd Mon and Llyn wetland sites.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NRW is seeking to award a contract for the supply of 2 x All Terrain Very Low Ground Pressure Multi-Purpose Tracked Vehicles. These will be used to transport staff, contractors, equipment, and consumable materials around primarily large and relatively inaccessible wetland sites. In addition, the machine will have the facility to power front mounted implements. The machine will facilitate management on designated sites, with a particular focus on the Corsydd Mon and Llyn wetland sites.

The vehicles will be based at both NRW’s Bryn Mwcog Workshop and Llwynawel Workshop and will be used on a range of wetland NNRs & other wetland designated sites in Wales.

Some of the wetland sites are on mineral soils and are seasonally dry, but the majority are on peat soils which are wet all year round with an extremely low load bearing capacity.

The key purpose of tracked ATVs:

- Access most of the wetland sites.

- Carry a minimum of 3 persons

- Carry loads of over 1500kg on site
