NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG) are inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified providers to express their interest in delivering Mental Health Crisis Alternatives Services including Derby Safe Haven and Crisis Cafe provisions.

These services are designed to promote good outcomes for people who self-define as needing urgent out of hours mental health support. They aim to be a genuine alternative for people who otherwise may present at ED/ A and E departments.

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG) are inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified providers to express their interest in delivering Mental Health Crisis Alternatives Services including Derby Safe Haven and Crisis Cafe provisions.

These services are designed to promote good outcomes for people who self-define as needing urgent out of hours mental health support. They aim to be a genuine alternative for people who otherwise may present at ED/ A and E departments.

The aim of this Expression of Interest is to;

1. Allow the market visibility of the proposed opportunity;

2. To inform the CCG's decision-making process for the future commissioning of the Crisis Alternatives Services

3. To help refine the future commissioning and procurement approach

4. To gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity to deliver maintain and strengthen services across Derbyshire as illustrated above

5. To invite feedback from potential providers/the market on the service specifications

Market Engagement Event:

Please note that there will be a Market Engagement Event to discuss the model and potential future opportunities on Tuesday 10th May 2022 from 9.30am - 11.30am via Microsoft Teams. Further details can be found within the questionnaire.

Bidders who have expressed an interest in this soft market testing exercise will have the opportunity to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice as applicable.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest responses is by 16:00hrs on 5th May 2022.

Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the CCG to carry out a procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements.
