Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust have awarded a contract to RAW Workshop to provide nine (9) Community Youth Workers who will be deployed to work across the Thames Valley.
The architecture of the programme is creating 3 individual spoke teams, placed in the 3 main counties in the Thames Valley footprint: Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire.
The Community Youth Workers will working inside these teams alongside NHS and third sector staff as part of a blended workforce of clinicians and other workers.
The contract is to start on 1st March 2023 for two years expiring on 28th February 2025.
This procurement was carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

This service is being funded from a pilot programme to help the NHS respond to its long-term plan requirement to provide additional support for the most vulnerable children and young people with complex needs. This is being driven by a new policy document call called the Framework for Integrated Care (soon to be published). In this document there are several key outcomes, which are:
- Improved CYP wellbeing that are identify as vulnerable with complex needs
- Reduction in high-risk behaviors - e.g., self-harm, youth justice system
- Reduced mental health concerns of CYP that are identify as vulnerable with complex needs
- Improved stability of home - either with family or carer
- Improved purpose for CYP - aiming for CYP to stay in and achieving in education, finding training or a job that they want to do.
- Organisations working with these CYP are more trauma informed
- Ensuring that CYP are more involved in the arrangement and delivery of the care and support they need.
The Services will commence on 1st March 2023 for a period of two years, expiring on 28th February 2025.
