The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to inform the market of the grant opportunity, provide general updates and seek soft market testing in a number of areas as required.

West Midlands Combined Authority have successfully secured Grant Funding from Government to deliver the first all-electric bus city in the UK.

A maximum of £50 million in grant funding will be provided for the programme to deliver Coventry Electric Bus City.

It is anticipated that the grant funding will support the delivery of the following:

• New EV buses

• Power provision and upgrades.

• Vehicle charging.

The programme is to be delivered by end of 2025.
