South Lanarkshire Council (the Council) is expecting to carry out a new procurement process in 2024, for the provision of passenger transport services, to ensure attendance of pupils at South Lanarkshire Council schools and establishments, and also other general taxi requirements.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Council’s current framework is due to expire on 31 October 2024 and we are looking to implement a new contractual agreement with the hopes of increasing supplier capacity.

The Council is considering the following procurement routes:-

To gauge the market the Council has issued a survey. This survey is being made publicly available to any organisations interested in the provision of Additional Support Needs (ASN) Passenger Transport Services for South Lanarkshire Council (the Council) and other taxi requirements. The survey can be accessed by the URL or QR code located within the additional documents area. Survey responses must be submitted by no later than 11:59pm on 17 April 2024.

This exercise is intended to provide potential bidders with the opportunity to view and comment on the Council’s requirements if they wish to do so. This builds on a commitment to engage with the market, by sharing information and seeking input from the market to enable us to develop the final Invitation to Tender (ITT) in a fair and transparent manner.
