The Analytical Services Group (ASG) is the statistical and research team posted within the Department of Justice (DoJ). ASG has utilised SPSS software for more than 15 years, manipulating and interrogating data to provide statistical and research support to DoJ. During that time, the team have gained extensive experience of using the package and considerable resource has been invested in the development and creation of syntax coding to enable continual data validation and analysis; analysis and linkages to excel and desktop publishing systems are also set up in SPSS. Statisticians have built extensive knowledge of using this package through both formal training and on the job learning and it has become an important tool in the statistical production process. This tender is for procurement of software subscription and support of SPSS licenses for use by ASG. The initial contract period is for 3 years with the option to extend by two years on a 1 plus, 1 plus basis. The maximum potential contract period is 5 years. Neither CPD nor the Authority can guarantee any level of work under this contract.

The successful contractor’s performance on this contract will be managed as per the specification and regularly monitored Contractors.. not delivering on contract requirements is a serious matter. It means the public purse is not getting what it is paying for. If a contractor.. fails to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance they will be given a specified time to improve. If, after the specified time, they.. still fail to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance, the matter will be escalated to senior management in CPD for further.. action. If this occurs and their performance still does not improve to satisfactory levels within the specified period, it may be regarded.. as an act of grave professional misconduct and they may be issued with a notice of unsatisfactory performance and this contract may.. be terminated. . .
