This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform the market that the Authority has an enduring requirement for a Network Management System (NMS) to manage and monitor multiple networks for a two-year period.

1. Summary of requirement.

a. Comprise a minimum of two fixed network management (NM) components capable of initialising and controlling all terminal components.

b. Comprise a minimum of six fixed terminal components to provide sufficient coverage of the UK Area of Responsibility (AOR) to enable MOD to meet its obligations as defined in the UK Frequency Clearance Agreement.

c. Comprise additional NM and Terminal components to enable the user to operate two concurrent deployments.

d. Enable NM Component Operator(s) to create, edit, save, delete and display L16 Operational Plans pertinent within an operational period.

e. Enable an NM Component operator to remotely load and delete crypto variable keys into individual Terminal Components.

2. This contract will be a competition under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR 2011).

3. The approximate project schedule currently is:

a. DPQQ and Contract Notice Issue – June 2024

b. ITN Issue – September 2024

c. Virtual Bidders Conference – September 2024

d. Contract Award – April 2025

e. In-service/Installation date – August 2025

4. The issue of this PIN is for information only for a possible MOD requirement and as such suppliers are not required to express an interest at this stage.
