The machine will provide scientists the ability to store crystallization plates in a temperature-controlled environment, and schedule imaging of each condition to monitor and document crystal development over time. The machine will also be equipped with imagers that can record UV, high-resolution or high contrast images, which will help in hit identification and differentiation between protein and false-positive salt crystals.
