This Contract pre-dates Provider Selection Regime Regulations and there exists in the contract the option to extend for up to 2 years. KCHFT intends to exercise this option in order to ensure the continued safe provision of services to the eligible population of East Kent.

Explanation:

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 1 April 2025.

The option to extend the existing contract has been exercised by the Authority as the existing provider is satisfying the existing contract and likely to satisfy the proposed extension to the Contract to a sufficient standard, and the proposed contracting arrangements are not changing considerably
