Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s (KCHFT) Public Health Bus delivers mobile public health services across Kent. The Public Health Bus is used by various Public Health services including the Children and Young People’s Counselling Service, Health Checks, Health Visiting, One You, School Health, TB nursing and Sexual Health. It’s use is coordinated by the Health Inequalities Team. Other non-public health KCHFT services can also use the bus and the associated costs reclaimed from their budgets. The overall aim of the KCHFT Public Health Bus is to mobilise public health and clinical services to our communities in Kent to those facing inequality in accessing healthcare.

The Trust is not a business with shareholders, which means that everything we do is for our patients. All our staff live and work in the communities we serve and have extensive training and experience in delivering health care. Our people are our most important asset.

The purpose for this specification is to identify the requirements for the maintenance, servicing and provision for break down cover for the Public Health Bus

The Health Inequalities Team will support access for viewing the Public Health Bus necessary for the submission of tenders. This will be carried out over a two-day period to be advised pre-tender submission. The viewings will support the individual design nuances of this vehicle and current condition of worthiness.
