The University of Birmingham has a requirement for a fully managed cashless launderette service at the University’s Student Accommodation.The requirements include the supply and installation of suitable washing and drying equipment, preventative maintenance and emergency repair of equipment. A proposal for differing financial models will be requested, including consideration of a free vending to all service users. The successful supplier will also be expected to refresh laundry areas throughout the contract term and to promote the facilities to the student community. A small number of washers and dryers may be required on a lease or purchase basis by other departments of the University. Maintenance and repair of this equipment and of equipment already owned by the University may also be required.The intention is to provide a high-quality laundry service to the University’s customers.
