The justification for the award of a 5 year contract extension is the continued access to the DEMS case management system to move away from this system would mean losing a lot of historical data. Due to the nature of the service provision and the number of connectors and software applications that are embedded into this solution the exit and migration of data will require time and skilled professionals. The force will conduct a market survey during this 5 year period to gather data on alternative solutions.
