2gether support solutions is looking for a contractor to covers the provision of Annual Gas Safety Inspections and Maintenance of Gas Appliances within 2gether Support Solutions Ltd (2gether) on behalf of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT).
2gether requires a competent contractor to carry out gas safety inspections and undertake necessary remedial repairs in order to maintain the safety and continuity of the gas installations, and on completion provide a Gas Safety Certificate.
The Contractor shall operate a 24/7 Call-Out Facility in order to be able to respond to emergency call-outs with a 4 hour response time for instances of loss of service.
The contract will seek to provide the following service.
(a) Planned Maintenance
(b) Remedial Maintenance
(c) Reactive Maintenance
(d) Emergency Maintenance

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
SCOPE OF WORKS
The successful Contractor shall carry out a Risk Assessment and produce a Method Statement (RAMS) of their proposed inspection and testing process
A programme of the sequence of Works shall be agreed upon between the AO and Contractor with input from the end users.
Before commencement, the Contractor shall allow for attending a pre-contract/mobilising meeting with the AO and other stakeholders. This meeting will also discuss the day-to-day arrangements of the Contractor’s safe methods of working including approach and methods for liaising with the relevant wards and departments before each stage of the Works. Notes of decisions will be taken and circulated by the Compliance Manager.
The Contractor shall allow for attending quarterly progress meetings with relevant parties.
The Contractor shall ensure that assets have their annual Gas Safety Inspection on or before the last inspected date.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing advance notice to the AO of any necessary required shut down and the period of shut down and recommencement of system
The Contractor shall immediately notify the AO of any condition that is unsafe or likely to become unsafe within a short time.
The Contractor is to provide his engineers with all the necessary PPE, tools and access equipment including step ladders, scaffold towers and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP) etc. required to undertake the work safely.
