A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows:
As part of Community Benefits we are looking for the successful bidder to make a monetary donation to the Hillcrest Foundation. The Hillcrest Foundation helps set up services and projects that benefit people and communities across Scotland.
For this contract we are looking for the successful bidder to make a donation of at least 1.25% per annum of the value of the contracted works.
An example of how this would be structured is as follows –
Total Contract Value for 3 years = GBP 3,000,000
Contract Value per year = GBP 1,000,000
The expectation would be that based on 1.25% the supplier would donate a minimum of GBP 12,500 per annum to the Hillcrest Foundation.
This is purely an illustrative example and the actual costs would be based on the goods supplied.
This will be discussed and monitored as part of contract monitoring meetings.
