NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NWL ICB) are finalising their intentions to procure a new Integrated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service for North West London, and wish to conduct further market engagement to seek the views and opinions of those organisations that may be interested in providing the future service, based on the Draft Service Specification and commercial assumptions.

To participate, please return your completed Market Engagement Feedback Form via Atamis, by noon on Friday, 21st April 2023.

Your involvement in this engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participation in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist to inform as to the level of interest from the market and will be used to evidence a decision as to the most appropriate process to award a contract for the new MSK service.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NWL ICB intend to commission a clinically led multi-disciplinary community based, digitally and clinically integrated, Musculoskeletal (MSK) clinical assessment and treatment service (the "Service") for their adult and young adult (16+) GP registered population, standardised across the boroughs of Brent; Hammersmith & Fulham; Kensington & Chelsea; Harrow; Central; Hillingdon (Pain service only). The Service is to be delivered by a Lead Provider model, with a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) for MSK care, including triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning for patients with MSK conditions.

The specialties included within the Service scope are:

• Level 1 MSK physiotherapist-led and MSK podiatry services

• Level 2 orthopaedic and spinal services;

• Level 2 rheumatology services; and

• Level 2 pain services

The ICB intend to award a single 5-year block (cap & collar) contract, with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years.

As a healthcare service, this procurement falls under the 'Light Touch Regime' of PCR 2015, therefore any potential future procurement will be conducted via a bespoke process.
