South East London CCG, Greenwich Borough hereafter referred to as 'the CCG' is seeking responses from providers of Female Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) services. The CCG plans to spot purchase female PICU beds from a list of pre-approved providers who will be selected through this procurement.

All providers will be required to demonstrate that they can deliver high standards of care and work effectively and collaboratively with the CCG and hospital trusts who may refer or receive patients upon discharge. To be eligible all providers must be currently operating as a provider of female PICU services.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

South East London CCG, Greenwich Borough hereafter referred to as 'the CCG' is seeking responses from providers of Female Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) services. The CCG plans to spot purchase female PICU beds from a list of pre-approved providers who will be selected through this procurement.

All providers will be required to demonstrate that they can deliver high standards of care and work effectively and collaboratively with the CCG and hospital trusts who may refer or receive patients upon discharge. To be eligible all providers must be currently operating as a provider of female PICU services.

Any provider that qualifies the selection process will be named on an approved list of providers for future spot purchasing. The approved list will be valid for a period of 2 years with the option to extend a further 1 year.

In line with the Health and Care Bill it is envisaged that CCGs will be abolished and replaced by Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). Any reference to CCGs as Contracting Authorities in this procurement should be interpreted as referring to the ICBs that will take their place in due course.
