The council has a future opportunity for the Purchase of a Modular Building for New Activity Centre.
Clydebank Can on the Canal will be a new activity centre situated Canal-side within Clydebank town centre.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The project was developed in response to the recommendation from the Clydebank Charrettes to bring more activity into the town centre and make better use of the Canal. The Centre will be designed to harmonise with its surroundings, resulting in an attractive new design feature in Clydebank town centre.
Activities and services that will be offered at the Centre will focus on health and fun, and may include bike hire and repair, kayaking/canoe classes, club meetings and facilities e.g for kayak clubs, community classes.
The following facilities will be provided within the centre:
- Kitchen facilities
- Launderette/drying room
- Changing rooms one of which will have shower provision
- WCs
- Bicycle workshop
- Bicycle storage
- General purpose/activity room
The requirement is to provide a quality bespoke modular building manufactured off-site which is aesthetically designed internally and externally . Consider the need for portability as a design requirement to cater for a possible future requirement to relocate the building as a whole to a new location or as separate self contained modules to different locations. imposing constraints related to the future development of the general area which may make the proposed use of the site redundant.
