Minor Adaptations:
Provision and installation of minor adaptations in peoples’ homes across Somerset (up to the value of £2,500). The works will often include attending rural/ remote locations and include the following types of works (but are not limited to):
• the supply and fitting of grab rails and banister rails
• external metal handrails
• step modifications
• widening / rehanging doors & window modifications
General plumbing works including installing wash dry toilets and toilet moves, installing lever taps
• electrical works
• door release and automatic door entry systems.
Applicants must be suitably qualified for these types of works and must have the appropriate insurances in place.

Ramps
Supply, install and maintain modular ramps in peoples’ homes across Somerset in accordance with building regulations covering this type of equipment. There will also be a requirement to recycle (removal, store, renovate and reinstall) existing ramps within the community and the need to fabricate bespoke ramp solutions. The works will often include attending rural locations.
