3.1. The contract comprises four fundamental requirements:

(i) develop the tennis centre into a lively, active meeting place that meets the diverse needs of both club members and the wider community;

(ii) provide high standards of sports provision (Tennismark+ within 12 months);

(iii) invest capital to develop the sports centre with the aim of maximising the use of and revenue generated from the facilities and their surroundings; and

(iv) provide consistently high standards of catering at Hyde Park including a defined menu style offering customers value for money. TRP's aim is to provide customers with a simple but contemporary menu, made from high quality ingredients.

Explanation:

This is a modification of a concession contract to extend its duration by 2-years. A VEAT notice is being published by The Royal Parks rather than a concession modification notice as the latter requires a concession notice reference number which is not available given that the original contract was procured and awarded prior to the CCR 2016 coming into force on 18 April 2016. TRP believes this modification is permissible under regulation 43(b) of the CCR 2016.
