NHS Bury CCG is acting as Lead Commissioner for itself and other Greater Manchester (GM) 'associated' CCGs, each having access to these contracted services which form part of a an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) framework across GM. The other associated GM CCGs are:

Provision of community based, GP direct access to age related Adult Hearing Loss (diagnostic and management of condition through supply of devices and maintenance) and Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS). Contracts were established through an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) framework and offering choice to patients from across Greater Manchester for the last 4 years.

A locally established Any Qualified Provider (AQP) framework has been in place for 4 years. The CCG has participated with other CCGs across Greater Manchester during early 2021 to procure a new AQP framework. Until this procurement completes and newly contracted services are mobilised, the CCG has assessed the need to extend for an interim duration of 6 months, the existing contractual arrangements with the current incumbent providers.

Explanation:
A locally established Any Qualified Provider (AQP) framework has been in place for 4 years. The CCG has participated with other CCGs across Greater Manchester during early 2021 to procure a new AQP framework. Until this procurement completes and newly contracted services are mobilised, the CCG has assessed the need to extend for an interim duration of 6 months, the existing contractual arrangements with the current incumbent providers.
This modification to an existing range of contracts in place under the AQP framework is assessed by the CCG to be reasonable, proportionate and lawful under Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended)
