‘Short Breaks’ describes the Local Authority support and care service offer for children with disabilities. This can include a range of services including: overnight (fostering and residential care), daytime services, targeted group activities, personal care, 1:1 support.We are inviting all current and potential providers who deliver Short Breaks services (daytime and overnight), to an engagement event with West Midlands region Local Authority Commissioners. This will set out the regional requirements for Short Breaks service developments, unmet needs, commissioning intentions and future tender opportunities.

This is for information on behalf of West Midlands ADCS Network.‘Short Breaks’ describes the Local Authority support and care service offer for children with disabilities. This can include a range of services including: overnight (fostering and residential care), daytime services, targeted group activities, personal care, 1:1 support.We are inviting all current and potential providers who deliver Short Breaks services (daytime and overnight), to an engagement event with West Midlands region Local Authority Commissioners. This will set out the regional requirements for Short Breaks service developments, unmet needs, commissioning intentions and future tender opportunities. The event will invite discussion with providers about how social care services are commissioned and can be further developed.The event is on Thursday 18th April 10-12pm via MS Teams as below:Meeting ID: 340 750 291 171Passcode: RF4bKiParticipation or non-participation in the pre-procurement market engagement process shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the pre-procurement process shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Participation in the pre-procurement market engagement procurement process will be at each supplier's own cost. No expense in responding to this process will be reimbursed by the Council. This is not a call for competition.

The Contracting Authority is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) to engage with the market and to gather information The information gathered from this exercise will help shape future proposals including any potential tendering process and associated service specification. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the Council is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the pre-procurement market engagement process shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the pre-procurement process shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process.
