Requirement in detail:

An integrated Multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting overseen by a medical Consultant which can address the physical, psychological and social aspects of care for people living with a long-term condition.

Job Role: Qualifications and Professional Experience

Essential:

• MB BS or equivalent
• Full Registration with GMC licence to practice
• Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians.
• Wide experience in all aspects of General (Internal) Medicine and Respiratory medicine culminating in the award of CCT
• Evidence of participation in leadership/ management
• Solid understanding of Clinical Governance
• Effective communicator, able to work and lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to work with colleagues in other specialities to develop local services.

Desirable:
• Experience of clinical research culminating in presentation and publication of original studies, being able to review articles, etc, as relevant to speciality.
• Ability to lead clinical research project
• Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
• Appropriate educational qualification
• Extensive teaching experience
