The Authority intends to develop one single point of contact between commissioning and the overarching pharmacy specialist provider with one contract and single specification that encompasses all Locally Enhanced Service provision detailed within its components.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The lead provider (LP) will be responsible for contracting with all of the 107 Pharmacies across Bolton. Responsibility for pharmacy management, development, guidance and improvement. Incident management will be overseen by the LP. LP will provide ongoing training and regular clinical support as well and review and implementation of revised Patient Group Directives (PGD's). The LP will be responsible for promotion and communication of the service to improve engagement. LP will be responsible for contracting, monitoring visits, performance management and monthly reports and administration.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
