65 The GMC Barometer survey is a tracking survey that we run every year to find out how doctors’ experiences of practising in the UK are changing over time. Since the first Barometer survey in 2019, SoMEP reports have drawn extensively on the findings, including insight on workload pressures, burnout, patient care, and future career intentions.
We are asking bidders to tender for the 2022 and 2023 Barometer surveys, with the option for the GMC to extend this to the 2024 and 2025 surveys. Evidence from these annual surveys will underpin our SoMEP publication over the upcoming years.
