Hampshire County Council Children's Services delivers the Community Buddy Scheme as part of the council's Short Breaks offer. The Community Buddy Scheme enables children and young people with a disability or additional needs, to access their local community or support them to take part in activities or groups of their choosing within their local community. The support given by a Community Buddy enables a child or young person to experience their community or an activity/club without their parent or carer. Accessing the community can take many different forms and could include (but is not limited to); shopping, exploring public transport or making use of community spaces such as parks.
This framework was procured as a light touch procurement under section 7 of the Public Contract Regulations however there were technical issues with the find a tender system so the notices have been published under F02/F03.
