The purpose of this Early Engagement Notice is to notify the market of a potential procurement activity relating to the Department for Education’s North West Strategic Improvement Advisor (SIA) pilot. This pilot is an opportunity for an experienced leader to support the region achieve their children’s social care improvement ambitions and remove some of the potential barriers that are affecting Local Authorities.
The SIA will work with the region to identify the right innovative models of support that respond to the collective needs of the region and deliver those solutions in a coordinated way as part of a regional improvement plan. They will work with the Department to identify how the new measures set out in the Department’s strategy – Stable Homes; Built on Love – can be delivered effectively in the region.
A core part of this role is to collaborate with regional partners, corporate and political leaders to broker strong working relationships that support the delivery of the improvement plan and to create an environment where improvement can happen at pace.
We will hold a virtual Market Engagement event on 17th April 2023, 1-2pm, comprising an initial presentation followed by Q&A.
