seven.2) Information about modifications

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The incorrect supplier was chosen on Atamis.

Just to clarify that the Trust is intending on awarding a contract to Elite Emergency Medical Services Ltd (Company Number: 14675407) against Provider Selection Regime (PSR 2023) under Direct Award Process C.

This modification is to change the supplier from Elite Medical and Ambulance Services Ltd to Elite Emergency Medical Services (Elite EMS) Ltd.

This supplier is currently in contract with East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the criteria against the Direct Award Process C has been applied with justifications.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

The wrong supplier was incorrectly chosen on Atamis, due to there being 2 Elite Ambulance Providers with very similar names being on the supplier database.

Furthermore, an issue with the publishing from Atamis to Find a Tender has resulted in multiple of the same notices being published.

seven.2.3) Increase in price

Updated total contract value before the modifications (taking into account possible earlier contract modifications, price adaptions and average inflation)

Value excluding VAT: £10,080,900

Total contract value after the modifications

Value excluding VAT: £10,080,900
