Norfolk County Council wishes to procure a contractor to undertake the construction of the Long Stratton Bypass to the south of Norwich in Norfolk, a county in eastern England. The Long Stratton Bypass is a highway scheme to remove through traffic on the A140 from the centre of Long Stratton by providing a bypass to the east of the town. Norfolk County Council wishes to procure a contractor to undertake the construction of the Long Stratton Bypass to the south of Norwich in Norfolk, a county in eastern England. The Long Stratton Bypass is a highways scheme to remove through traffic on the A140 from the centre of Long Stratton be providing a bypass to the east of the town.The scheme entails:- Single carriageway road stretching from Church Lane to the north, south for a distance of 3.9km;- Provision of three new roundabouts and two new junction arrangements;- Two new overbridges, one vehicular and one pedestrian;- A new 450m single carriageway link into the town from the bypass;- The contract will include ancillary works such as provision for non-motorised users, necessary realignment of the existing local road and Public Right of Way network
