The programme will develop activity to support cyber security firms, across early stages of their lifecycle with the essential businesses skills that they need to further their growth.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

As part of the National Cyber Security Programme, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) requires the design and delivery of an academy programme to help support the growth of the Cyber sector. The programme will develop activity to support cyber security firms, across early stages of their lifecycle with the essential businesses skills that they need to further their growth. There will be three parts to the

programme, a start-up academy, SME academy and scale up academy.

The Start Up Academy will aim to increase the number and success of early-stage cyber security companies, which is crucial to securing and embedding innovation with the UK’s wider cyber security ecosystem and will seek to transform early-stage cyber security ideas into workable proposals and potential new businesses.

The SME academy will provide UK based cyber security firms, across early and growth stages of the life cycle, with the business skills they need to help further their progress.

The scale up academy will support cyber security scale-ups to address barriers to growth nationally and abroad.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

The estimated value of the contract is in the range of £550,000 to £650,000 (excl VAT) and this does not include any activity that may be carried out if the contract is extended.

Tenders must be submitted via the Delta e-sourcing portal to be received no later than

12:00 noon (BST), 27th May 2021 (the deadline for receipt of Tender Responses).
