This notice is for information only and does not constitute a formal commencement of a procurement process. Public Service Reform Surrey County Council Commissioners are looking to undertake an Open Procurement under the Light Touch Regime, under regulation 74 of The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to secure a contract.

Surrey County Council are commissioning an Integrated Lifestyle Service, bringing together a number of services that focus on promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviours and the prevention of associated poor health outcomes at universal and individual levels.

Surrey County Council are looking to award a contract to one supplier for the provision of Integrated Lifestyle Services.

It is intended that the opportunity will be published during Summer 2023, with a contract commencement date during Spring 2024.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Integrated Lifestyle Service will provide information, advice and guidance; self-help tools; and evidence-based lifestyle interventions to enable individuals to achieve and maintain positive lifestyle changes, thus reducing the risk of developing chronic diseases which lead to premature morbidity and mortality. The Service will reduce the gap in health inequalities by focusing resources on specific parts of the County and identified groups with poorest health outcomes.

The services in scope for re-procurement are:

• Stop Smoking Support - Evidenced based interventions to support Service Users 12 years and over who smoke tobacco to successfully and permanently stop smoking.

• Adult Weight Management - To support Service Users (18 years +) to achieve a clinically beneficial weight loss and focus on diet and physical activity together, rather than attempting to modify either diet or physical activity alone.

• Child Weight Management – To provide a healthy weight programme for children up to 12 years, who are overweight or obese and their families. The children will have been identified as being on or above the 91st BMI centile. The programme will encourage healthier lifestyle changes in the short term and in the long term assist them to reach and maintain a healthy BMI.
