The service will provide:

• low level mental health support, mental health counselling, group work and a programme of support groups.

• support to RDASH community and primary care mental health team in the delivery of Severe Mental Illness (SMI) health checks and peer support.

• A 4 bedded crisis house as an alternative to inpatient provision, crisis phone support interventions.

The service will aim to

• minimise the impact of poor mental health through the provision of low-level support to people who are suffering with mental health issues and reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health, supporting people at the earliest opportunity to develop coping strategies to manage mental health related issues.

• promote resilience and recovery to support service users to maximise their independence with a focus on social inclusion including improved relationships and vocation e.g., education, training, volunteering, and employment.

• support people when in crisis, provide a safe place until it is safe for them to return home, and provide planned interventions to reduce the risk of repeat episodes of crisis.

• improve awareness and understanding of mental health and where to access support across our local place.

The service will ensure its service users will have the personal resources to have a voice or will be able to access the appropriate support to do so.

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB is intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
