It will also enable more support to the frontline workforce

Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC): The service covers a wide geographic spread in Wolverhampton and dispenses EHC free of charge to females across Wolverhampton. The provision of contraception is widely recognised as a highly cost-effective public health intervention.

Future Steps Post: to enable RWT to support Future Steps project.

Sexual Health Online Testing: It has been acknowledged that healthcare services will need to evolve to meet the changing needs of the population. This includes the way healthcare is accessed and provided, with increasing use of remote consultations and technology to enable flexibility to both service users and clinicians.

The provision of additional investment into the services will allow and enable Royal Wolverhampton Trust (RWT) to build upon the successes achieved from the post covid recovery plan that the previous three-year investment supported. It will also allow the provider to begin to work towards redesigning the delivery model to align to the Start for Life, Family Hubs and Families First Pathfinder priorities. These models are underpinned by a more integrated and collaborative working approach between both Wolverhampton Council Children's services and RWT services
