NNL continues to have a requirement for Design Services which it wishes to procure through use of a framework. The framework will consist of four Lots; Lot 1 – Nuclear Design Lot 2 – Nuclear Design and Delivery Lot 3 – Non-Nuclear Design Lot 4 – Non-Nuclear Design and Delivery The aim of these services is to design only or design, manufacture, Works Test and deliver solutions that can be used to build new or modify existing experimental rigs, plant and/or infrastructure in NNL facilities to provide facility improvements, extend plant life and support experimental rigs and processes. The support procured through these Lots may be for a specific Scoped Service or to enhance resources required for self-performed activities. Design may include concept design, preliminary (or scheme) design and detailed design, including design for manufacture.

NNL currently has in place a framework (NNLC085F) for Design Services which is coming to completion in June 2023. NNL continues to have a requirement for Design Services which it wishes to procure through use of a framework. The framework will consist of four Lots; Lot 1 – Nuclear Design Lot 2 – Nuclear Design and Delivery Lot 3 – Non-Nuclear Design Lot 4 – Non-Nuclear Design and Delivery The aim of these services is to design only or design, manufacture, Works Test and deliver solutions that can be used to build new or modify existing experimental rigs, plant and/or infrastructure in NNL facilities to provide facility improvements, extend plant life and support experimental rigs and processes. The support procured through these Lots may be for a specific Scoped Service or to enhance resources required for self-performed activities. Design may include concept design, preliminary (or scheme) design and detailed design, including design for manufacture. Design reviews will be held as appropriate, and HAZOPs may be conducted. The contractor would be expected to support these activities. The design activities require appropriate design quality plans and validation, and verification plans to be produced.
