Description of options

The contract commenced in April 2017 for an initial contract period of three years until April 2020. Three further optional two year periods were available and LMCNI took the first option in April 2020 as well as the second option in 2022. LMC wish to avail of the third and final option in April 2024.

four.1) Description

four.1.1) Type of procedure

Explanation:

LMCNI has procured a contract to deliver the Support and Maintenance of the Livestock and Meant Commissions Farm Quality Assurance Scheme Customer Relationship Management Database. LMC require a modification to this contract as FQAS database requires further development to capture information to allow additional data collection. Additionally there has been an increase to costs requested by the supplier in line with inflationary costs. The estimated value of this modification is £122,889.49 taking the revised total contract cost to £423,183.13.

Regulation 72(1)(b) Additional works, services or supplies “have become necessary” and were not included in the initial procurement and a change of supplier would not be practicable (for economic, technical or interoperability reasons) and would involve substantial inconvenience/duplication of costs.
