Description
The University has invested in a sub-metering system that covers the Claverton Campus together with properties in the City of Bath; in total there are over 2000 meters installed on electrical, gas, water, and heat supplies.
The University wishes to establish a contract to cover the essential maintenance and support of the existing sub-metering hardware, along with any additional metering as required. The hardware is based on Ethernet-to-RS485 gateways and RS485-connected pulse counters, together with a variety of RS485- and pulse-output-connected electric, gas, water, and heat meters. Historically, Elcomponent gateways and 4MODs have been extensively used, latterly being supplemented by iSMA devices and some LoRaWAN-connected devices
It is anticipated that the contractor will be able to demonstrate significant experience working on large scale AMR systems using the same hardware and software.
