London Gateway Port Limited intend to construct a container yard at Berth 6 of the shipping port. The project site is approximately 10 acres comprising a laden container yard, an unladen container yard and access road. The scope of the works comprises levelling and compaction of sub-grade, construction of heavy duty pavement including granular sub-base material, cement bounded granular base material and paving blocks, surface water drainage pipes and pits and associated connections to existing pipework, high voltage/low voltage and communications ducts and associated pits, potable and fire water mains and associated pits/hydrants/valves, lighting tower foundations and masts and light fittings, line marking, pre-fabricated cabin offices and cesspools, fencing and gates and barriers, LV electrical works and cabling works.
The tentative commencement of site works will be June/July 2022. The time for completion of the works is 9 months.
