seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
DfC have made a modification to this contract to allow for additional QA environment. This
additional QA environment will run parallel and as such allow DFC projects to progress more
efficiently. It is envisaged that delivery times will be reduced and Quality Assurance
increased. An additional environment will also support future releases, enhancements and
annual health checks and training.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
DfC will rely on regulation 72(1)(b) - additional works, services or supplies “have become
necessary” and were not included in the initial procurement and a change of supplier would
not be practicable (for economic, technical or interoperability reasons) and would involve
substantial inconvenience/duplication of costs. The total value of this modification is
£34,986.03.
