Derry City and Strabane District Council proposes to appoint a fencing contractor to undertake the certified fabrication, supply and erection of a new rigid mesh fence to secure lands Council has acquired for the Strathfoyle Greenway, Derry. The works will entail the fabrication, supply and erection of circa 1590m of rigid weld mesh fence, 3No double rigid mesh gates for the Strathfoyle Greenway. The works will be at two separate locations with access being restricted. Contractors should be aware that due to the linear and remote nature from residential areas, access points to the site are minimal. Contained within Contract Drawings SGF 100-02 and SGF 100-03 are suggested points of access the Contractor maybe able to use for the works. Contractors should also be aware that sections of the works are adjacent to a NIR Railway line, therefore they will need to liaise fully with NIR and implement appropriate safety measures prior to works commencing. Works at location 1 include: 875m of 1.8m high rigid weld mesh fence, 2No double rigid mesh access gates, and any ancillary works required to complete the works. Works at location 2 include: 715m of 1.8m high rigid weld mesh fence, 1No double rigid mesh access gates as well as any ancillary works required to complete the works. The extent of the works are indicated on drawing SGF 200-01, SGF 200-02, SGF 300-01, SGF 300-02 and SGF 300-03. 1.2 LOCATION OF THE WORKS The works will be located on:- • Lands between Gransha Hospital and Butlers Wharf, Derry.
