Description

Waltham Forest Council have ambitions to electrify their fleet vehicles, and in order to support this transition, need to increase the number of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points at their Depot. Approximately 75 charging sockets are required, ranging from 7kW for overnight car charging to 50kW+ for rapid refuse vehicle charging. The charging points should support RFID technology and there should be a process in place for each department/contractor to be charged on a monthly/quarterly basis for their usage.

If your company would be interested in supplying and maintaining these EV charging points, we would be grateful if you could answer the attached questions by COP on Friday 21 March.

Engagement process description

The council seeks to gather more information from the market to aid in the development of the specification and to gauge market capabilities and innovations. This information will ensure the final solution is well-suited to the council's needs and sustainable goals.

Requirements:

Approximately 75 EV charging sockets are required, which will be distributed across various locations within our Depot. The charging points should cater to a range of needs, from overnight car charging to rapid charging for refuse vehicles:

• 7kW charging sockets for overnight car charging to 50kW+ charging sockets for rapid refuse vehicle charging

• The charging points must support RFID technology to enable secure and efficient access.

• A robust process should be in place for each department or contractor to be charged on a monthly or quarterly basis for their usage.
