The purpose of this tender exercise is to appoint a Contractor to provide the key service for the Exhibition and Interpretative Fit-Out of the Spurn Lightship vessel, Hull Marina, Kingston upon Hull, as part of the delivery of one of the key visitor destination sites of the wider Hull: Yorkshire's Maritime City (H:YMC) Project. (This is the first of the Fit-Out requirements for the Hull Maritime Project: a second Fit-Out tender opportunity, i.e. for the Fit-Out of the remaining visitor destination assets within the scheme, including the Hull Maritime Museum, and the North End Shipyard site including the Arctic Corsair trawler will be advertised in the coming months). The published Exhibition Fit-Out package of documents within the Invitation To Tender pack gives an overview of the content and technical requirements that are to be used as part of the visitor experience at the Spurn Lightship, Hull.

The published Exhibition Fit-Out package of documents within the Invitation To Tender pack gives an overview of the content and technical requirements that are to be used as part of the visitor experience at the Spurn Lightship, Hull. It is intended to be able to appoint the successful contractor by late April / early May 2023, with the Fit-Out works specified for the Spurn Lightship vessel completed by late July / early August 2023 to allow for public opening of the Spurn Lightship vessel during August 2023. The specification sets out the overall project parameters, responsibilities, and programme throughout the process for the development and fabrication of the Exhibition Fit Out works package. The Main Exhibition Fit Out Contract will be carried out under a single works package compromising of: - Exhibition Fit Out - AVIT Hardware - Interactives - Models and Props - Graphic Printing The contractor awarded this piece will work alongside the Principal Designer and Contract Administrator. Additionally, to complete the Spurn Lightship vessel Fit-Out, there will be two, smaller, (separate), procurements for the delivery of the AVIT Software and the Graphic Artwork/Copy Editor with Image Procurement, which will be published and advertised very shortly (during April 2023).
