Description

Swindon Borough Council (SBC), wishes to submit to tender the requirements for a single supplier for the provision of the removal and installation of current and new street light lamp columns and associated groundworks, electrical connections and disconnections, yearly clean and electrical testing, night patrol and Ad-Hoc repairs.

It is to be noted that stock for these services is mainly provided by Swindon Borough Council. The only materials the Council does not provide is the jointing materials as these are part of the contractor costs for a service transfer, disconnection or new service connection.

The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years with the ability to extend for a further period of 1 x 24 months. This is to ensure that we attract sufficient interest from the market.

The estimated contract value is indicative only with no guarantee of the amount of work to be called off under this contract. Estimated contract spend is between £901,254 across the initial 3-year term and up to £1,502,090 across the full 5-year term.

Tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal by 20th February 2026 15:00 hrs UK Local time. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically on the ProContract tender portal.
