This notice is placed in order to facilitate engagement with potential providers and stakeholders and relates to an engagement marketing event only.
NHS Kent and Medway ICB is hosting a Dental Market Engagement Event focused on the provision and development of NHS dental services in the following areas: Special Care and Paediatric Dental Care, Domiciliary, Unscheduled Dental Care, Urgent Dental, Dental Sedation Services, Oral Surgery, Periodontal Restorative Dental Care and General Anaesthesia in Kent and Medway, paying particular attention to the procurement of additional services.
This event is an opportunity for commissioners, providers - both dental practitioners in the community and acute hospitals, and other key stakeholders to come together to discuss and explore approaches to enhancing the accessibility and quality of NHS dental care and how additional service can support this.
The event will gather key stakeholders, dental professionals, industry experts, and potential partners, to discuss and consider how Kent and Medway ICB can optimise dental services for its population and agree viable, efficient and cost-effective service models. The event will provide information about NHS Kent and Medway dental commissioning plans and give a better understanding on future procurement requirements.

The event is to enable the ICB to understand the challenges that are faced by providers as well as discuss the opportunities. The ICB will outline its expectations of dental service providers.
Future additional services need to be capable of improving patient access, addressing patient needs and supporting an overall improvement in oral health for adults and children. There is a need to work together to ensure that procurement of services is completed with these core values in mind.
