Description
The aim of equipment services is to encourage, promote and enable the use of equipment, to support the care and support requirements of individuals to enable them to remain in their own homes. Initial discussions and reviews of the equipment service available in Hampshire have raised questions that we believe may best be answered by providers themselves.
The Commissioners for Hampshire County Council are seeking the views of Community Equipment Service Providers to ensure delivery and use of high-quality, accessible equipment for both health and social care requirements for individuals in Hampshire. We are seeking feedback on a range of topics including but not limited to:
- providers experiences of running equipment services, (including key considerations and challenges),
- types of service models available and preferences of the market,
- staffing structures and
- operational costs
- any other key considerations that the Council should be made aware of.
This engagement is designed to assist Commissioners to develop any possible requirements and best practice approaches when considering possible future commissioning activity relating to a Community Equipment Service. Therefore, we wish to engage with the market and seek your views. Your views are extremely important to us, and we would appreciate your time completing this questionnaire. We are committed to working collaboratively with the market and we cannot develop our future strategy without your input.
You do not need to answer all the questions to submit this engagement questionnaire. Any information that you can provide is of value to us.
This is not the beginning of a Tender exercise. Your feedback as a provider at this point will not have a bearing on any future Tender submissions you may wish to offer at a later date. You will not be disadvantaged if you choose not to respond to this engagement questionnaire, however it will be helpful to understand your views at this early stage, so you are encouraged to respond as fully as you can. Please note, we will look to share responses with our Commissioning colleagues in both the Hampshire and Isle of Wight and Frimley ICBs.
