two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Salvage and Marine Operations (SALMO) Team, part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), have a requirement to secure a Shipbroker who will provide worldwide vessel chartering and sale & purchase brokerage, with coverage across the commercial shipping sector. The Shipbroker will also be required to provide of market intelligence & consultancy services and brokerage training events as required. Due to the nature of some of the Authority’s chartering and/or sale & purchasing requirements, the winning tenderer will be required to provide suitably qualified and experienced UK Sole Nationality and UK Security Cleared personnel who will be available 24/7/365 to the Authority. The Authority plans to issue a Contract Notice for this requirement, subject to funding, by June 2021. A DSPCR 2011 Restricted Procedure shall follow with the intention to award the contract by January 2022.
