AHDB is looking to procure a supplier(s) to provide cereals and oilseeds crop harvest, planting, and crop development reporting across the season. The information needs to inform growers, grain traders, processors, industry stakeholders and other interested parties about planting progress/intentions, condition, development, and harvest progress at set points in time during the season.

AHDB requires suppliers to source data and intelligence from a range of different sources. Our current methodology for crop reporting is based on a network of independent agronomists but we are open to suggestions for alternative provision.

We have split the requirement across three lots and will award either multiple suppliers or a single supplier depending on the evaluation outcome of tenders received. Each of these Lots have associated milestones and KPI’s.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

AHDB is looking to procure a supplier(s) to provide cereals and oilseeds crop harvest, planting, and crop development reporting across the season. The information needs to inform growers, grain traders, processors, industry stakeholders and other interested parties about planting progress/intentions, condition, development, and harvest progress at set points in time during the season.
AHDB requires suppliers to source data and intelligence from a range of different sources.
• Lot 1 - Harvest progress reporting: AHDB requires the provision of both numerical data and explanatory, bulleted comments during the main harvest period to inform us about the progress of harvest for cereals and oilseeds crops.
• Lot 2 - Planting intentions and progress: AHDB requires the provision of information data and bulleted commentary on both:
• Actual and intended plantings to provide a reliable indicative forecast of crop areas.
• Planting progress and how it compares to or has compared to what would ‘typically’ be expected.
• Lot 3 - Crop development and condition (winter and spring): AHDB requires numerical data on both the growth stages reached by the majority of UK cereals and oilseeds crops at that point in time and how this compares to what would ‘typically’ be expected for the time of year, and the crop condition.
Suppliers can tender for single or multiple lots.
