This is a Prior Information Notice for Prior Information Only.

NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (NHS SEL ICB) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) and the completion of a Market Engagement Questionnaire from all suitable providers who are capable of delivering the required Community Anticoagulation Services in the London Borough of Lewisham or those who wish to provide feedback on the proposed opportunity.

The annual contract value is expected to be around £324,610 per annum. This translates to a minimum 3-year contract value of £973,830 and a maximum 5-year contract value of £1,623,050.

Service Summary

Lewisham has a local acute anticoagulation service at University Hospital Lewisham, which manages complex/unstable patients. A community anticoagulation service has been in operation seeing patients stable on the oral anticoagulant warfarin. The requirement of a community anticoagulation service is being amended to reflect innovation and changes to anticoagulation therapy since an initial service had launched. A newly procured Community Anticoagulation Service is to provide a clinic and housebound service to Lewisham residents which monitors warfarin, initiates Direct Oral Anticoagulants and switch patients between anticoagulants as clinically appropriate, and as per specification, working closely with healthcare providers across Primary and Secondary care in Lewisham.
